Meet the Pack: February

First off, we would like to apologize for the lack of blogging the past couple of months, as you can imagine things were crazy over the holidays and we did let the busyness of life get to us. But, we are back and excited to get you up to date with all of the dogs we have adopted out and our new intakes! Here are some snippets of the dogs we have, and make sure to check out the adoption applications on our website!

Available For Adoption:

Rudy Cutie:
182426837 Rudy has been with us since February 2013.  He knows how to sit up and beg, he clips his own toenails, he has lovely teeth for his age and may very well be a candidate for the oldest living dachshund in the future because at 16 he doesn’t look or act a day over 10! He would be great for a single person or a retired couple. He doesn’t need a lot of daily exercise but could keep up with you if you were a jogger. He will sleep in your bed or in a bed on the floor. He barks like a big ferocious dog so he would be a great guard dog. He likes car rides and he can entertain himself. It would be highly preferred that he is not in a home with kids. There is a long story about him on our website so be sure to check it out!

Chloe is a super size doxie diva who needs a special home. When we got her she was extremely overweight and had infected swollen feet which made it hard for her to get around. She is on the road to a speedy recovery. She is loosing weight and her feet are getting better. She has quite a goofy personality. She is a loving dog who gets along well with kids and doesn’t seem to mind dogs either. She does have some toy and food aggression still but we are working on that. Overall she is a sweetheart, loves to be around people and loves her squeaky toys!

182701505Tessie is a 9 year old, red smooth female. Tessie is a special girl who will need a very special home. She needs to lose more weight, but also needs someone who has the time and patience to work with her. Tessie came from a home where she was very sheltered. She needs to be taught simple things, she was very well loved and probably carried most of the time. She is a sweetheart, but also a little shy so again, she would need someone patient and loving to help her figure things out. 🙂

Adopted in the Past Months:
We were able to find homes for these wonderful doxies! We wish you all the best with your new families!!!

  1. I love your website. I had dachshunds for over 30 years. Lost my last one last October, she was 16 yrs old & blind. In 2014 lost my oldest (17 yrs old) and one that was 13yrs old. I miss them. Keep up the good work that you do, love reading about the dogs, someday will get another.

    • Thank you for your kind words! We are so glad that you enjoy reading what we have say about our favorite four-legged friends! We are so sorry for your losses; it is a very difficult thing to go through. Whenever you are ready for another definitely be sure to check us out!!
