Things have been really busy at the Long Dog Retreat and we apologize for the late update! We have had a lot of adoptions in the past couple of months and we would like to share all the exciting news with you! First though we ask that you take a look at those who are still in need of finding their forever homes and who knows, maybe their forever home will be with you!
Mya is an 8 year old, black n tan double dapple. She was born blind, but that doesn’t get in her way one bit. She’s super smart and catches on to new things easily. Already using the doggie door successfully. She’s a real lover too, sweet and snuggles.
Augie is a handsome adult male. He is an alpha male and will only get along with non alpha females and males. He is super smart, eager to please, and loves to play fetch. Augie would make a great snuggle buddy. He will be a wonderful companion. Augie will be available after his neuter surgery.
Tessie is a 9 year old, red smooth female. Tessie is a special girl who will need a very special home. Tessie is now at her goal weight, but still needs help with potty training and she has to be on special urinary formula food for life. Tessie came from a home where she was very sheltered. She needs to be taught simple things, she was very well loved and probably carried most of the time. She is a sweetheart, but also a little shy so again, she would need someone patient and loving to help her figure things out. 🙂
Beans is an 11 year old black and tan female. She loves to play outside, snuggle, and eat snacks! She does well with other dogs but has yet to be tested with cats. It would be preferred that Beans does not go to a home with children under 10.
Twiggy is a Louisiana love bug, just a baby and 10 lbs. Twiggy was dumped at a high kill shelter with her five siblings. Twiggy is a dachshund mixed with a min pin and has a beautiful face with long legs. Twiggy is a puppy who needs a lot of social and behavioral encouragement. Friendly with other dogs, not tested with kids or cats.
Now that you have seen all of those who are looking for their forever homes, let’s take a look at the ones who have found their forever families! Congrats to all of you!
